Chicks/Life Cycle Unit
We will spend 5 weeks exploring chicks and their life cycle, while also discussing the life cycle of frogs, horses, butterflies, ladybugs, and sunflowers. We will discuss other animals that lay eggs and how important they are to us. Next week we will be provided with eggs that will be placed into our incubators. The students will get to observe the 21 day incubation process and see them hatch!

This week we continued to learn all about hens and roosters. We will continue to do different classroom activities and learn about the life cycle of a chicken. The class had an opportunity to candle each egg. We were able to see that 6 out of 12 of the eggs have a growing baby chick inside. A few of the other eggs were too dark to tell at this point. Make sure to ask your student to see the progress on their Chick App!

The iPads are back! The students are very excited. Please encourage your student to practice their reading and math facts when they are at home. The user names and passwords are to the right of my blog just in case they are forgotten.
