Math
This past week we used mental math to find ten less or ten more than a given number. Next week, we will review our different addition and subtraction strategies, including counting on, counting back, doubles, doubles plus or minus 1, and related facts to add and subtract within 20. We will also add tens by using models anchored in the number 10 (30 + 40 is like adding 3 + 4 and then adding the 0).

One Minute Math Tests
Next week, we will start doing one minute math fact tests in the classroom. There will be a purple sheet sent home on Monday explaining the importance of knowing and learning their math facts. Please make sure to practice at home!
