iPads
The iPads are back! The students are very excited. Please encourage your student to practice their reading and math facts when they are at home. The user names and passwords are to the right of my blog just in case they are forgotten.
Math
This week students will be learning how to subtract with tens and ones. We will start by subtracting two digit numbers without borrowing and then continue on. Last week students brought home a yellow and blue sheet of paper explaining how to add with and without regrouping. Students will be bringing sheets home to remind them how to subtract and carry. Please continue to work with your student at home! We will begin our math unit on measurement later next week.
Twitter
First Grade has joined Twitter! If you have an account and would like to follow us, our name is @idefirstgrade1. We will be using twitter to post pictures of activities that the students complete in the classroom as well as work. This is a great way to stay connected at home and see what your students are accomplishing!
Scholastic Books!
I have created a link on my blog to Scholastic book orders! If you are interested in ordering any books for friends, relatives, or for your student, feel free to place an order online and use the code - LVB2T. When you order online, you can shop all Book Club flyers, enter your online orders, and pay with a credit or debit card. Every time you place your order online, you earn a FREE Book Pick and I earn a $3 coupon for our classroom! I will be receiving flyers that I will send home within the next few weeks if you don't want to do it online. If you have any questions please let me know!

The one who is puzzle about grammar rules would definitely find it useful for him. Because the concept about compound and other sentences that are also useful for essay help are described very well in this article and will surely help many people who are a little bit weak about their grammar concept.
