Next week we will be starting our "Marvelous Me." Each student will have a week throughout the year where they will get the chance to talk about themselves and be the "teacher's helper." Every Friday, there will be time allowed (1:10-1:35pm) where the "Marvelous Me" student can have a parent or grandparent come in and complete an activity with the class. This can include reading their favorite book, doing a small art project, playing a game, career talk (discussing your job), or "show and tell." Please let me know what you think you will be doing ahead of time so that I can assist you with it in any way I can. If you are unable to come into the classroom, we will still celebrate your child and I will provide a game/activity that we can do. Thank you!

Math:
Today your child took their Chapter 2 math test on addition and it will be sent home on Monday. Take the time to look it over and discuss the results with your child if possible. Please sign the green sheet to verify that you saw it and return as soon as possible. Thank you!
We will begin Chapter 3 next week on subtraction. Please try to connect subtraction to situations at home. Encourage them to discuss "taking away" when they are eating certain foods. (I have 4 carrots on my plate, and when I eat two (take away) how many do I have left? This will help them with subtraction at school. :)

- There are two more turn in dates for the magazine drive -Tuesday, Sept. 25th & Thursday, Sept. 27th
- Picture Day is Thursday, Sept. 27th
- Early Dismissal Day is Friday, Sept. 28th. Pleasesend a snack to school - no lunch. The students will be dismissed at 12:00.
