Math
For the past two weeks, we have focused on picture graphs, bar graphs and tally charts. Students took their graph quiz and they will go home on Monday. Next week, we will begin practicing our numbers to 1,000. We will start creating a number scroll. If you could try and save any paper towel rings that would be great! We will use them to tape the number scrolls and to keep it more organized. Thank you!

Scholastic Books!
I have created a link on my blog to Scholastic book orders! If you are interested in ordering any books for friends, relatives, or for your student, feel free to place an order online and use the code - LVB2T. When you order online, you can shop all Book Club flyers, enter your online orders, and pay with a credit or debit card. Every time you place your order online, you earn a FREE Book Pick and I earn a $3 coupon for our classroom! I will be receiving flyers that I will send home within the next few weeks if you don't want to do it online. If you have an questions please let me know!

Important Dates
  • Friday, March 21st - Movie Night
  • Thursday, March 27th - First Grade Concert

Reminders/Announcements
  • Box Tops - Please continue to turn in any box tops that you have at home. This is a wonderful fundraiser that helps raise money for our school. Feel free to ask aunts, uncles, grandmas, grandpas, and neighbors! :) Classrooms with the most box tops will win a classroom party!
  • Please send a note if your child will be picked up or taking another bus home.
  • If you have any questions - please feel free to email me at alibeseth@ccsd66.org
  • Please continue to practice sight words at home. Making flash cards is a great idea and allows for fun games, like memory!
  • It's that time of year! Please make sure you are sending your student to school with a hat, gloves, and scarves! If the temperature is above 30 degrees, the kids will go outside for recess and I would hate for them to freeze. :)
  • Please return report card envelopes by the end of next week! I will need them to send report cards home at the end of the year!

I Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Miss Beseth
