The test on these words will be on Friday, April 11th.
*Your students brought home their spelling test today - please make sure to review it with them and help them correct the words that they missed. It is very important that they study their words every night.

Math

The next unit in math that we will be focusing on is measurement. Students will learn how to order three objects by length and also be able to compare the length of two objects by using a third object. We will be measuring different objects with paper clips, cubes and other things in the classroom. We expect the students to understand that when measuring length of an object, there can be no gaps or overlaps. 

Chick Unit

When we return from spring break we will be starting our chick unit. We will spend 5 weeks exploring chicks and their life cycle. We will discuss other animals that lay eggs and how important they are to us. We will then be provided with eggs that will be placed into our incubators. The students will get to observe the 21 day incubation process and see them hatch!

Reminders/Announcements

• Box Tops - Please continue to turn in any box tops that you have at home. This is a wonderful fundraiser that helps raise money for our school. Feel free to ask aunts, uncles, grandmas, grandpas, and neighbors! :) Classrooms with the most box tops will win a classroom party!
• Please send a note if your child will be picked up or taking another bus home.

• Please continue to practice sight words at home. Making flash cards is a great idea and allows for fun games, like memory!
• Please return report card envelopes by the end of next week! I will need them to send report cards home at the end of the year!
