Math
This past week, we wrapped up our unit on measurement. Students learned how to order three objects by length and also how to compare the length of two objects by using a third object. Next week we will start a new unit on Time. We will focus on telling time to the hour and to the half hour, as well as writing that time in standard notation. This is important because it helps lay the foundation for using other numbered scales, such as a thermometer or a ruler. Please make sure to review our daily math sheet that gets sent home. :)
Chick Unit
This past week we learned all about hens and roosters. We discussed the different parts of a chicken and compared and contrasted a hen and a rooster. We are excited to get our eggs next week! We will continue to do different classroom activities and learned about the life cycle of a chicken.
Open House/Book Fair
Our Open House/Book Fair will be held on Thursday, April 24th. All family members are welcome to join us! This is a great opportunity for your student to show you all the different activities and things that they have created and learned the last couple of months.
