The test on these words will be on Friday, November 7th.
Your student brought home their spelling test from today - please make sure to look it over with them! :)

Math
Next week, we will continue our addition and subtraction strategies. Please continue to work with your student at home on their fact families as well as reminding them to use addition to help them solve their subtraction problems. Also, if you have any old (clean) socks at home that are missing a match or have a hole in them, have your student bring it in. We are going to be using them as erasers in math (a piece of felt works too!).

Conferences
Thanks to everyone that was able to make it to conferences. I really enjoyed getting to talk about your son/daughter and discussing their wonderful progress! They really are a great group of students.

Halloween Party
Our Halloween Party was a huge success! Thanks to all the parents that volunteered to bring fruit, drinks, and snacks! They sure were yummy! I would like to give a big thanks to our party volunteers - Mrs. Rizzo, Mrs. Hanneman, Mrs. Heavrin, and Mrs. Motuelle! The students loved all the games and crafts!

Scholastic Books!
I have created a link on my blog to Scholastic book orders! If you are interested in ordering any books for friends, relatives, or for your student, feel free to place an order online and use the code - LVB2T. When you order online, you can shop all Book Club flyers, enter your online orders, and pay with a credit or debit card. Every time you place your order online, you earn a FREE Book Pick and I earn a $3 coupon for our classroom! I will be receiving flyers that I will send home within the next few weeks if you don't want to do it online. If you have any questions please let me know!

Important Dates
  • Monday, November 3rd - No School
  • Tuesday, November 4th - No School - Institute Day

Reminders/Announcements
  • Box Tops - Please continue to turn in any box tops that you have at home. This is a wonderful fundraiser that helps raise money for our school. Feel free to ask aunts, uncles, grandmas, grandpas, and neighbors! :)
  • Sight Words - Students brought home 6 sight words last week. They are the words that they need to know for the week. Next week there are 6 new words. Please continue to work with your student at home.
  • Please send a note if your child will be picked up or taking another bus home.
  • If you have any questions - please feel free to email me at alibeseth@ccsd66.org

I hope you have a nice weekend!
