Math
Today students took their Unit 2 assessment. It will come home next week. We will begin five and ten relationships on Monday. Students will learn how to show numbers on a ten-frame and find parts of 10. Please continue to work with your student on their addition and subtraction math facts at home. A few things that you can do at home: Give them missing number addition and subtraction problems (5 + __ = 8 or __ - 6 = 2). You can also do simple problems during dinner (If you have 6 apple slices and I eat 4 of them, how many are left?).

Conferences
Next week I will send out a link to sign up for conferences. I will let you know the exact dates and times next week! I look forward to seeing everyone and discussing your son/daughter.

Scholastic Books!
I have created a link on my blog to Scholastic book orders! If you are interested in ordering any books for friends, relatives, or for your student, feel free to place an order online and use the code - LVB2T. When you order online, you can shop all Book Club flyers, enter your online orders, and pay with a credit or debit card. Every time you place your order online, you earn a FREE Book Pick and I earn a $3 coupon for our classroom! I will be receiving flyers that I will send home within the next few weeks if you don't want to do it online. If you have any questions please let me know!
